Keep the tin sealed in a cool, dark cupboard, away from heat and strong smells. Matcha is best within a few weeks of opening — that's why we sell smaller 10g and 30g tins rather than big bags. For longer storage, the fridge is fine; just let it come to room temperature before opening to avoid condensation.
If you'll drink it with just water, go for a ceremonial grade like Shizuoka's Misty Mountain. If you love a matcha latte, Kagoshima's Sunlit Bold is built for milk. Not sure? The Tasting Flight gives you a 5g tin of all four regions — plus a little bamboo spoon — so you can find your favourite.
A bamboo whisk and a small sieve give the smoothest, frothiest bowl — and our Whisk Kit has both. That said, a handheld milk frother works well too if you're just getting started.
